Contract & Industrial

Apart from the retail items shown on the rest of our web pages, we also do laser work on contract for commercial endeavors. The items shown below are merely two pieces of work to show the variation of laser application.

We can engrave most materials with any text, designs, logos, shapes, drawings etc at up to 1200 dpi. We can also cut most materials up to 1/3" (8mm) thick with amazing sharpness and clean edges. Work piece sizes can be up to
24 x 24" (65 x 65 cm).

Due to the nature of the laser technology and it's control via computer, it is ideal for small to medium runs and changes to design are accomplished with almost no repeat costs, unlike die stamping or cutting.

CD Hinged Case - Closed

This design was commissioned by a videographer that specializes in capturing weddings for exclusive clients. He wanted to be able to present a simple cd with the wedding video to the client without using cheap looking plastic jewel covers.
Made of wood and highly unusual, they enable the videographer to add perceived value to his services. In addition, each individual case is engraved with the names of bride and groom and the date of their wedding.

CD Hinged Case - Open

This shows the custom cd case on the open position. The cd sits on a protective layer of velvet. The hinge is almost entirely invisible.

The cover remains in the last position due to a friction fit between layers of the design.

turntable tonearm mounting board
Turntable Tonearm Mounting Plate

For high-end turntables the ability to mount different tonearms is very important. However, unless some for of adapting plate is used there is no way to accomplish this without making major modifications to the turntable or plinth.

The plate shown is made of 5 mm opaque white acrylic (Lucite, Perspex or Plexiglass) to a very high degree of accuracy. In addition to the cutout for the tonearm base, there are two scales etched into the plastic and marked in black. These guides assist in the setup alignment ensuring easy adjustment and repeatability.

We are also in the process of producing turntable plinths made up of alternate layers of acrylic and plywood for a custom turntable design. The final product will allow a number of easy modifications for motors, bearings and arms. It is intended to be relatively high end whilst being relatively economical.
